Scripture: Habakkuk 2:2 (NRSV)
“Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so that a runner may read it.”
Reflection:
God responds to Habakkuk’s waiting by giving a command to write. Vision isn’t meant to stay in the clouds—it must be made clear, visible, and shareable. Writing the vision grounds faith in something concrete. It also means carrying that vision forward for others who might need to take it up when we grow tired.
What vision has God placed in your heart? Sometimes it comes as a whisper of possibility, a glimpse of what could be. God’s word reminds us that faith is not only about believing but also about embodying hope—putting pen to paper, prayer to action, and trust into motion.
Application:
Write one sentence that expresses your current sense of hope or calling. Keep it somewhere you will see it this week.
Writing Prompt:
If you were to “make the vision plain,” what would it say about the kind of life God is calling you to live right now?
Prayer:
Creative God, help me to hear your vision clearly and to express it boldly. May my words and actions carry your hope into the world. Amen.
