Scripture: “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.”(Psalm 139:14, NRSV)
Reflection:
This verse has comforted generations of believers who seek reassurance that their lives matter. The psalmist celebrates that each of us is God’s deliberate creation, made with care and love. Our worth is not determined by our achievements or others' opinions. It is grounded in the unshakable truth that we are God’s workmanship, wonderfully made by design.
This truth can be difficult to accept in a world that keeps telling us we are not enough. But God’s voice cuts through the noise, reminding us that our identity starts in divine love. Believing we are wonderfully made doesn’t make us proud — it roots us in gratitude. And it helps us see others the same way, created and valued by the same God.
Application: Look in the mirror today and say aloud: “I am wonderfully made by God.” Let that truth sink in.
Writing Prompt: How does believing you are wonderfully made change the way you see yourself?
Prayer: Creator God, thank you for making me in love. Help me to see myself and others with your eyes. Amen.
