Scripture:
Luke 2:15–19 (NRSV)
Key Verse:
“But Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart.” — Luke 2:19
Reflection:
Before there are journeys, stars, and revelations, there is this quiet moment. Mary listens. She reflects. She holds the story gently, without rushing to explain it or resolve it. Her posture shows attentiveness.
This is a good moment to pause before Epiphany. Not everything requires immediate interpretation. Some truths need time to settle. Some light must be carried quietly before it can lead the way forward.
As we stand on the brink of discovery, Mary encourages us to value what we’ve seen and heard—staying open, alert, and prepared.
Application (Practice):
Spend five minutes in silence today. No music, no reading, no planning—just sit, breathe, and stay present.
Writing Prompt:
What moment from this season do you want to cherish instead of rushing past? Write about why it matters and what you hope it will teach you as you head toward Epiphany.
Prayer:
God of quiet wisdom,
help us hold your light with care,
ready to recognize it when it leads us forward.
Amen.
