Scripture: Acts 2:46–47 — “Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people.”
Reflection:
The early church didn’t limit the Table to Sunday worship. They broke bread in homes, shared meals daily, and practiced generosity. The Table reached beyond the sanctuary into daily life.
Our calling is the same. The bread and cup shape how we eat, speak, serve, and live daily. Communion isn’t limited to one hour but is experienced in every moment.
Application: Share a meal with family, friends, or neighbors today. Let gratitude and generosity fill the table.
Writing Prompt: How can I incorporate the spirit of Communion into my daily rhythms?
Prayer:
Generous God, thank you that your Table extends beyond the walls of the church. Make my life a table of welcome, generosity, and joy. Amen.
