Scripture: Habakkuk 2:4b (NRSV)
“…but the righteous live by their faith.”
Reflection:
By the end of his conversation with God, Habakkuk’s complaint shifts to confidence. Nothing in his world has changed—yet something within him has. Faith has steadied his heart. Living by faith doesn’t mean having all the answers; it’s having an anchor that holds when everything else shifts.
The faithful heart learns to see with God’s vision, not just human eyes. It trusts that the seeds of justice and peace are growing even when hidden underground. Faith doesn’t erase struggle—it transforms how we stand within it.
Application:
Take some time today to reflect on how your faith has carried you through uncertainty. Give thanks for God’s comforting presence.
Writing Prompt:
What does a “steady heart” look like for you right now? Where do you feel God strengthening your trust?
Prayer:
God of steadfast love, ground me in your faithfulness. When the world feels uncertain, make my heart steady and my spirit sure. Amen.
