Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:16 — “The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ?”
Reflection:
Communion is both a gift and a mission. We receive grace, forgiveness, and belonging — but we are also sent out to embody grace, forgiveness, and belonging for others. The Table fills us so that we may be poured out for the world.
Faith is about sharing the gift, not hoarding it. Every time we drink the cup, we affirm our role as Christ’s body in the world.
Application: Share food with someone today — a meal, snack, or coffee — as a way of extending Christ’s hospitality.
Writing Prompt: How has the Table caused me to live differently in the world?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for the gift of your body and blood. Send me out nourished by your love, prepared to be your presence in the world. Amen.
