Scripture (NRSV): John 1:46
“Nathanael said to him, ‘Can anything good come out of Nazareth?’ Philip said to him, ‘Come and see.’”
Reflection: Philip didn’t argue with Nathanael’s doubts. He didn’t need to prove anything. He simply extended an invitation: “Come and see.” That’s the heart of disciple-making. We don’t have to answer every question or persuade with perfect arguments. Sometimes the most faithful move is to say, come with me and see for yourself. God uses these simple invitations to open hearts and create opportunities for grace.
Application: Extend a simple invitation today — to worship, to serve, to pray, or even just to sit down together where faith can be shared.
Writing Prompt: Who could you invite into your walk with Christ right now?
Prayer: Lord, make me bold in offering invitations. May my life and words both say, “Come and see.” Amen.
