Scripture: Acts 2:42 (NRSV)
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
Reflection:
The early church didn’t just believe in Jesus—they devoted themselves to a way of life. That devotion included learning together, gathering regularly, sharing meals, and praying as one. It wasn’t occasional or convenient. It was consistent, embodied, and mutual. And from that rhythm, the Church grew—not just in numbers, but in depth.
Application:
Recommit to one rhythm of shared faith this week—whether it’s attending worship, praying with someone, or sharing a meal in intentional community.
Writing Prompt:
Where in your life have you experienced the kind of devotion described in Acts 2:42? What might God be inviting you to devote yourself to now?
Prayer:
God of every gathering,
Teach me what it means to be devoted—not just in thought, but in practice.
Help me show up, grow deeper, and live more fully into the rhythms of shared faith.
Amen.
