Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:17 — “Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.”
Reflection:
At the Table, Paul reminds us of a powerful truth: we who are many become one. The divisions we hold onto — culture, politics, wealth, background — fade away in the presence of the bread of life. Sharing the loaf is more than just a ritual; it’s an act of belonging. Communion is God’s declaration that in Christ, no one is left out.
The challenge is to embody this unity beyond just worship. If we are one body on Sunday, we shouldn’t be strangers on Monday.
Application: Greet someone new today as a brother or sister in Christ. Treat them as family, not a stranger.
Writing Prompt: Where in my life do I struggle to live as if we are “one body”?
Prayer:
Bread of Life, thank you for uniting us as one body in you. Tear down the walls that separate us, and help me live with others as family in your love. Amen.
