Scripture: Galatians 5:22–23 (NRSV)
"By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."
Reflection:
Welcoming others isn’t something we force. It’s something we grow into as the Spirit shapes us. The fruit of the Spirit fosters a life where others feel safe, seen, and valued. You don’t need perfect words or a big plan—just the willingness to be patient, kind, and open. These are the conditions in which belonging can grow.
Application (Action):
Choose one fruit of the Spirit and practice it with intention today. Let it be your quiet act of welcome, whether it’s patience in a slow moment, kindness to a stranger, or gentleness in a tense situation.
Writing Prompt:
Which fruit of the Spirit comes most naturally for you in relationships? Which one is hardest when offering welcome?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, grow your fruit in me. Shape my heart so others experience you through my words, my tone, and my presence. May my life be soil where welcome can take root. Amen.
