Scripture: Isaiah 41:8–10 (NRSV)
Key Verse: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God.” (Isaiah 41:10a)
Reflection:
After the candles are extinguished and the songs fade, fear often returns. But the promise of Christmas never ends. God stays with us in our everyday moments, quiet times, and through our unresolved struggles.
Love stays with us even after celebrations. It walks beside us through days when happiness and exhaustion blend. Peace, in this way, isn’t the absence of fear but the confidence that we aren’t facing it alone.
The days after Christmas remind us that God’s presence is not just seasonal. Love endures.
Application:
Offer yourself grace today. Allow space for rest, mixed emotions, and gentle transitions.
Writing Prompt:
How does it feel to imagine God walking with you beyond Christmas Day?
Prayer:
Steady God,
walk with us in the quieter days.
When fear returns,
remind us that you remain.
Amen.
