Scripture: 1 John 3:18 (NRSV)
“Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.”
Reflection:
Real love doesn’t stay at the surface. It takes the form of presence, support, and compassion in motion. But that doesn’t mean jumping in to rescue—it’s about walking alongside others in a way that respects their journey and maintains their dignity. Loving genuinely and actively means joining others in the slow, sacred process of becoming.
Application:
Offer companionship today. Walk with someone through a task, an appointment, or a conversation—not to lead or advise, but to support and accompany.
Writing Prompt:
Whose journey are you being invited to walk alongside right now—not to lead, but to share?
Prayer:
God of every step,
Teach me to love in a way that listens, walks, and stays.
Keep me from rushing ahead or pulling others along.
Let me love with quiet strength and faithful presence.
Amen.
