Scripture: Luke 1:26–38 (NRSV)
Key Verse:
“Here am I… let it be with me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38)
Reflection:
Mary’s yes is not based on certainty—it is rooted in trust. Love doesn’t provide her with a detailed roadmap, but it gives her enough courage to take the next step. Her response isn’t perfect confidence; it’s faithful willingness.
Fear often convinces us to wait until we’re ready. Love encourages us to move forward even when we’re nervous. Mary shows us that faith isn’t about knowing everything — it’s about saying yes to presence and possibility.
Advent love beckons us forward, step by step, into a future molded by grace.
Application & Reflection Prompt:
Where might God be inviting you to take a small step forward?
Write about what a “faithful yes” could look like for you this week.
Prayer:
Calling God,
give us courage to say yes, even when fear lingers.
Lead us gently along the paths you are opening before us.
Amen.
