Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:5 (NRSV) – “[Love] is not irritable or resentful.”
Reflection:
Irritation amplifies small issues, and resentment keeps score. Love chooses to let go — not to ignore wrong, but to release its hold over us. This frees us to keep relationships healthy and hearts open.
Application:
Today, intentionally let go of one irritation or lingering resentment you’ve been holding onto. Pray for the person involved.
Writing Prompt:
What’s one situation you’ve been holding onto that love might be asking you to release? What would letting go look like?
Prayer:
God of mercy,
Free my heart from the weight of resentment and the pull of irritation. Give me the grace to let go and the strength to move forward in love.
Amen.
