Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:4a (NRSV) – “Love is patient; love is kind…”
Reflection:
Patience is love with a long-term perspective. It allows people time to grow, heal, and understand. Impatience pushes others away, but patience attracts them and shows their worth. This is how grace moves beyond an idea — it becomes something people can truly feel.
Application:
Practice patience today by allowing someone to finish their thought without interrupting — even if you think you know where they’re going.
Writing Prompt:
When was the last time someone showed patience with you? How did it make you feel, and what, if anything, did it change in the relationship?
Prayer:
Patient God,
Thank you for your patience with me — for not giving up when I am slow to learn or quick to forget. Help me extend that same patience to others today.
Amen.
