Scripture: Romans 12:9–13 (NRSV)
“Let love be genuine… Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.”
Reflection:
As this week comes to an end, scripture encourages us to view love not as a single act, but as a way of life developed over time. Paul’s words in Romans feel less like a checklist and more like a rhythm, with love practiced through sincerity, patience, generosity, and shared life. This is not love as a performance, but love as a posture.
A faith that shows up is rarely built in moments of intensity alone. Instead, it develops through repetition, small consistent choices, nurturing relationships, and practicing grace even when energy is low. Love becomes lasting not because it’s dramatic, but because it’s practiced. Over time, these habits shape who we are and how we move through the world.
This week has shown us that love is faith with skin on. It pays attention. It stays. It moves toward rather than away. It costs us something, yet it gives life in return. As you step into the next week, the invitation isn’t to do more, but to stay open, allowing love to continue shaping the ordinary moments ahead.
Practice:
Today, take a moment to pause and reflect on the entire week. Notice one way love appeared, whether through you or around you, and carry that awareness with you going forward.
Journaling Prompt:
What kind of person am I becoming as love takes shape in my daily life?
Prayer:
God of enduring love, thank you for meeting us in the everyday rhythms of our lives. As we continue this journey, help us practice love with sincerity and care. Shape our lives through small, faithful acts, and anchor our faith in love that appears again and again. Amen.
