Grace Is a Gift

Scripture: Ephesians 2:8–9

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Reflection:
We live in a world of effort and achievement, where value often feels tied to performance. But God’s grace disrupts that cycle. You don’t earn it. You don’t have to prove yourself. It’s already yours. The invitation is not to strive but to receive.

Application:
Take 10 minutes today to sit quietly with no agenda. Breathe deeply. Let yourself receive—not achieve—the love of God.

What makes it hard for you to receive God’s love as a gift instead of something to earn?

Generous God, I’ve been trained to hustle for worth. But you meet me with grace. Slow me down today. Teach me to receive the love that was already mine. Amen.
