Scripture (NRSV): 1 John 2:6
“Whoever says, ‘I abide in him,’ ought to walk just as he walked.”
Reflection: Discipleship isn't just for big moments or formal programs. It’s a daily way of living. To follow Jesus is to walk as he walked — in compassion, in truth, in forgiveness, in love. When we let Christ’s pattern guide our everyday choices, others notice. Often, it is in the ordinary, unnoticed acts of faith that discipleship multiplies: a kind word, a prayer offered, a steady presence in someone’s life. The everyday is where disciple-making takes root.
Application: Pick one small, tangible way to walk like Jesus today — forgive someone, encourage someone, or serve quietly without recognition.
Writing Prompt: What aspect of Jesus’ life and walk do you most want to embody in your daily living?
Prayer: Jesus, teach me to walk as you walked. Let my everyday choices and actions point others toward you. Amen.
