Scripture: Luke 21:13 (NRSV) — “This will give you an opportunity to testify.”
Reflection:
Jesus redefines hardship as an opportunity, not to perform, but to bear witness. Witnessing doesn’t require eloquence; it calls for honesty. It asks us to tell the truth about what God’s love is doing in us, even when life feels messy or unresolved.
In times of change, our witness isn’t a loud declaration but quiet perseverance. It’s the choice to keep loving, praying, serving, and trusting. Often, the most powerful testimony is simple: “I’m still here. God hasn’t let me go. I’m learning to love through this.”
Our lives tell a story long before our words do, and God uses even the unfinished chapters.
Application:
Reach out to one person today with encouragement: a short text, a prayer, or a simple “thinking of you.”
Writing Prompt:
What part of your current story might God be asking you to witness to quietly, humbly, and honestly?
Prayer:
God who meets me in the middle, help my life speak the truth of your love. Use my ordinary faithfulness to bring hope into someone’s day. Amen.
