Scripture: Proverbs 31:8–9 (NRSV)
“Speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all the destitute. Speak out, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
Reflection:
When we genuinely connect with others, we begin to see the systems and challenges that surround them. Love rooted in relationships doesn’t stay silent; it prompts us to speak—for and with others. This isn’t about being loud—it’s about being faithful. It’s about using our voice when someone else’s has been ignored. That kind of connection doesn’t just change lives. It confronts injustice.
Application:
Support someone’s voice today. That could mean amplifying their story, joining them in advocacy, or standing with them when they speak up. Let your presence serve as a sign of solidarity.
Writing Prompt:
Where are you being called to speak—not over someone, but alongside them?
Prayer:
God of justice and mercy,
Give me courage to use my voice well—
not to overpower, but to stand in solidarity.
Let my connection to others lead me to truth,
and let truth lead me to action.
Amen.
