Scripture: Galatians 3:28 — “There is no longer Jew or Greek; there is no longer slave or free; there is no longer male and female, for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.”
Reflection:
In a divided world, Communion serves as God’s protest against division. At the Table, everyone belongs — not because we’ve earned a spot, but because Christ invites us. This act is deeply countercultural: it refuses to let race, class, gender, or status determine who is welcome.
Every time we share the bread and cup, we affirm: division will not have the final say.
Application: Reach out across a line of difference today — listen to someone whose perspective differs from yours.
Writing Prompt: Where am I tempted to exclude, even subtly? How does Christ’s Table confront me?
Prayer:
God of unity, thank you that in Christ we are one. Help me live in ways that break down barriers and reflect your radical welcome. Amen.
