Scripture: Ephesians 2:4–5
“But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us… made us alive together with Christ.”
Reflection:
Those two words—“But God”—change everything. No matter how stuck, lost, or tired we feel, the story doesn’t end there. Grace means God intervenes. God lifts. God revives. And sometimes, when we’re at our lowest, grace begins to speak most clearly.
Application:
Look for a moment today to say “but God” in your own life. When anxiety, disappointment, or exhaustion speaks, interrupt it with mercy. Speak those words as an act of trust.
Writing Prompt:
What’s one “But God” moment from your life—where mercy showed up when you didn’t expect it?
Prayer:
Merciful God, thank You for not leaving me where I was. Thank you for loving me back to life. Help me to trust that You are still writing new beginnings. Amen.
