Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NRSV)
“So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!”
Reflection
The day after a holiday often brings a mix of relief, exhaustion, and reflection. Paul’s words to the Corinthians remind us that in Christ we are never stuck. Christ’s reconciling work does not just repair the past; it welcomes a new future.
Starting anew doesn’t mean forgetting what has happened. It means trusting that God can bring new life out of everyday moments and worn-out places. When we engage in reconciliation—through honesty, courage, and compassion—we participate in the new creation God is shaping.
Today, take a deep breath. Remember that no matter what yesterday brought, God’s mercies are new this morning.
Application
Choose one small “begin again” practice—clean a space, reset your routine, or revisit a neglected spiritual habit.
