Scripture: 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NRSV)
“And all of us… are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.”
Reflection:
We often believe we are the ones helping. But when we serve through connection, we are the ones being transformed. We are shaped by those we walk with—by their courage, honesty, and grace. Discipleship isn’t a solo journey. It’s not about heroism. It’s about becoming—slowly, faithfully, humbly—more like Christ. That’s the power of connection: it doesn’t just make a difference, it makes us different.
Application:
Take a moment today to thank someone who has influenced your faith—especially someone you’ve shared a relationship of mutual growth with. Let them know they’ve made a difference in who you’re becoming.
Writing Prompt:
How are the people you’re connected to shaping you? Where do you see Christ working in you through these relationships?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit,
Thank you for the people who are helping shape me into your image.
Help me recognize the slow work of becoming,
and trust that connection is part of your transformation.
Amen.
